Family Law in alabama Practice and Procedure

Photo of the book Family Law in Alabama, Practice and ProcedureFirst published in 1991, Family Law in Alabama covers the evolution of family law in Alabama, and is updated annually by Boyd, Fernambucq, Vincent & Dunn founding partner G. R. “Rick” Fernambucq. It is widely referenced by practicing Alabama attorneys and is currently used as a textbook in all Alabama law schools. A fourth edition is scheduled to be released in 2009.

The original publication was co-authored by G. R. Fernambucq and J. Gary Pate, who had been law partners for ten years at the time. Shortly after that edition was released, Pate was appointed Jefferson County Circuit Judge by the Governor of the State of Alabama, and he has remained on the domestic relations bench since that time. As an attorney cannot have a business relationship with a judge while practicing before him, Fernambucq has been responsible for the 1996 second edition, the 2002 third edition, the 2009 4th Edition, and all annual updates.
